At the end of 2022, I began reading consistently, and it quickly became a life-changing habit. Books have taught me to explore topics deeply, moving beyond the surface-level conclusions often drawn in today’s digital age. Reading cultivates focus and reflection, offering clarity in a fast-paced, distraction-heavy world.
This habit has also sharpened my concentration, directly benefiting my work as a Software Engineer. Beyond career skills, it introduced me to classic literature, where authors of the past shared profound perspectives on life and humanity. Their timeless insights continue to inspire and challenge me.
Some of my favorite authors include Fyodor Dostoevsky, G.K. Chesterton, George Orwell, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, C.S. Lewis, and Ivan Turgenev. Their works masterfully weave together philosophy, captivating narratives, and sharp societal insights. Each has left a lasting imprint on how I think, view the world, and tackle challenges in both life and work.
Reading has become more than a hobby—it’s a cornerstone of personal and professional growth, a bridge to timeless wisdom in an ever-evolving world.
