About

I'm João Victor Fraga, born and raised in Salvador, Brazil, and now splitting my time between Aracaju and São Paulo. Currently I am pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at FIAP while working as a Software Engineer Intern at PayPal, a global leader in the fintech industry and digital payments. Before transitioning to tech, I spent several years in the media production industry, founding and managing my own production company. During this time, I directed and produced documentaries in seven countries: the United States, Canada, Italy, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro, gaining invaluable experience in project management, teamwork, problem-solving, and delivering customer-driven solutions—skills that now enhance my work as a software engineer.

Although I deeply valued my time in the film industry, my growing interest in technology and its potential for innovation led me to pursue a career in software engineering.

Nowadays my biggest passions are technology, financial markets and geopolitics. I love getting to know new cultures, which is why I became fluent in English and now I am learning Spanish and French. I've visited 28 countries and worked in 7 of them, which made me develop a great ability to work with people from different cultures.

Personal Interests & Hobbies

Apart from my enthusiasm for technology, I am an avid athlete, enjoying Tennis, Lifting Weight, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
